Congressional Roadmap to Restore Freedom

Tell Congress to Restore Your Rights!

H.R. 38 is broken, and unless Congress fixes it before passage, gun owners like you could face jail time just for exercising your rights.

The “Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act” is supposed to help gun owners, but right now it does the opposite.

From legal traps and permit issues to felony-level penalties for minor mistakes, this bill needs serious fixes before it moves forward.

But the issues with H.R. 38 are just one piece of a much bigger problem.

Washington politicians have created a system that protects bureaucrats, preserves gun control, and punishes peaceable people. It’s time for that to end.

That’s why we’re demanding action on three critical reforms, starting with fixing H.R. 38 and passing it the right way.

THE ROADMAP: Three Things Congress Must Do to Restore Your Rights

1. Fix and Pass H.R. 38
If Congress is going to pass nationwide carry legislation, it must be done right. Here are some of the problems:

    • Forgot your wallet? Go to jail.
H.R. 38 requires a person to carry a government-issued photo ID and carry license at all times when they are armed. Just forgetting your wallet or purse could lead to serious, life-altering criminal charges, prosecution, and potentially even a lifetime loss of rights.
    • Legal traps everywhere.
H.R. 38 allows states and local governments to ban carry on all public property, defeating the very point of the bill and setting a legal trap for gun owners in these unmarked “gun-free” zones.
    • The felony under your floormat.
H.R. 38 only protects one handgun, one magazine, and only the ammunition loaded into them. Extra magazines or ammunition, a back-up firearm, or even a single loose round in a purse or under a floormat wouldn’t be covered—putting gun owners at risk of arrest and prosecution.

And remember: even in “constitutional carry” states, federal law still bans carry within 1,000 feet of schools unless you have a state-issued permit from each state you’re in.

2. Repeal the NFA

We must dismantle a central pillar of federal gun control and remove constitutionally protected arms from this crushing and punitive regulatory scheme

3. Fire the Senate Parliamentarian

Pro-gun reforms are being blocked—not by elected officials—but by unelected bureaucrats offering “advice” with no legal force. The Senate Parliamentarian should not have veto power over your rights. Fire her.

Bottom line: Fix it. Pass it. Get it done.

This fight is bigger than one bureaucrat or one bill. It’s about tearing down the roadblocks that have trampled on your rights for nearly a century.
