Summary: HB 3223 would bring a wave of restrictions on the type of rifles a person could possess or purchase in the state of Oregon. HB 3223 would ban a rifle for a laundry list of things like pistol grip, thumbhole stock, folding stock, grenade launcher, flash suppressor, shorter than 30 inches, threaded barrel, shroud, revolving cylinder, etc. All of these meaningless restrictions and more amount to an almost total semi-automatic rifle ban and will leave gun owners unable to properly defend themselves and potentially unknowingly in violation of the law.
