Becerra recently issued a reminder stating bump stocks are illegal and anyone in the "state who possesses, manufactures, imports into the state, offers for sale, or who gives or lends one of the devices has committed a crime."

Pew Research Center: After Las Vegas Attack, Democrats in Congress Were Far More Likely to Mention Guns on Facebook
Of the 181 posts about Las Vegas that discussed guns, 98% were posted by Democratic lawmakers and 96% advocated stricter gun policies. Because Democrats favoring stricter gun policies were most likely to mention guns overall, only 1% of all posts – two posts total – were against such policies.

IL Firearms Accessories Ban on the Move
HB 4117, the Illinois bump stock ban, has passed the Judiciary Committee in the Illinois House and is now on the floor ready to be voted on. The bill has commonalities with other so called “bump stock” bans in the fact that it outlaws any device that could “accelerate the rate of fire.” What this actually means is that any sort of aftermarket triggers, springs, and many other parts could be banned and illegal to own.
