SB 5782 would remove “spring blade knives” from the list of banned items and change their definition to not a “dangerous weapon."

SB 5782 means that people who are simply carrying a pocket knife for any reason would not become targets of harassment.

UPDATE: WA SB 5782 passed in the senate and is retained on the house side for the 2020 legislative session.
