We are excited to announce that we just scored a HUGE legislative victory this morning in the California State Assembly Appropriations Committee.

The 1 in 30 day long gun rationing component in SB 497 was struck out of the bill!

This is a huge win for gun owners across the state. And it was all thanks to your efforts!

SB 497 by Sen. Anthony Portantino (D-La Cañada Flintridge) which would have, among other things, limited an individual to one firearms purchase every 30 days was significantly amended by the Assembly Appropriations Committee, removing all provisions relating to limits on long gun purchases.

Our Civil Rights Advocate Craig DeLuz stated that, “This is an important win for current and future gun owners. The rationing of Civil Rights should never be tolerated.”

SB 497 will now be sent to the floor of the State Assembly to be voted on. But it will only include provisions outlining safe storage of firearms for law enforcement and NOT the rationing of the Second Amendment.

But there are still so many more anti-gun bills to STOP.

That is why we need your help now more than ever before.

FPC's legislative team is going to be working around the clock to shoot down the remaining anti-2A legislation in California.

We can't, however, do it without your support. Please consider making a donation to support our efforts.

As a thank you, we'll enter you into our brand new giveaway for a Mossberg 500 ATI Scorpion Shotgun!

We have less than a month left to STOP the remaining anti-2A bills. Let's make every second count.
