AB 2733 abolishes the unrealistic requirement for handguns to feature micro-stamping technology.
This portion of the law infringes on Second Amendment rights more than anything else as it considers safe, modern handguns to be "unsafe" and restricts the ability of Californians to acquire them.
An intentional result of this law is that the "roster" of handguns that can be purchased in California is becoming smaller and will eventually be comprised of only single-action revolvers.
AB 2733 is a common sense bill that would allow California residents to purchase safe, modern handguns for personal protection.
