HB 2705 would establish a voluntary “do not sell” list and a website with which users can add themselves to the list.
The fact is, purchasing firearms is already voluntary and this bill would only introduce vulnerabilities to our constitutional rights.
First, individuals that want to be removed from the list would be left at the mercy of the State to follow through on their request. Furthermore, individuals that never intended to be on the list might find themselves on it as a result of someone else’s maliciousness.
