Yesterday, the Senate Appropriations Committee met for the final time before the Legislature takes their summer break.

And while we were able to score one victory over an anti-gun bill and the passage of a few pro-gun measures, two of the worst anti-2A measures were moved forward.

First, thanks to your support, we were able to kill SB 299 by Senator Mendoza (D- Los Angeles). That bill would have further complicated the law as it relates to loaning a firearm.

But the committee unfortunately passed SB 464 and SB 497.

SB 464 adds multiple security mandates on gun stores that will increase the price of doing business and drive some smaller stores out of existence.

And SB 497 is the bill that rations your rights by only allowing the purchase of only one firearm once a month.

It's obvious that there is much more work to be done. And we could use your help.

Make sure we have the firepower we need in order to kill these bills before they make it out of the Senate.

If you help us meet our $3,000 2A Legislative Action goal this week, we'll enter you into our giveaway for a Smith and Wesson M&P Shield!

The future of the Second Amendment depends on stopping these and other similar measures.
