The State of New York has a law that results in an effective ban on many common types of knives. Folding knives that can be bought in any hardware or sporting goods store have opened law abiding citizens up for prosecution.

New York City Police have arrested over 70,000 people, mostly of low-income and minority families, simply for possessing a widely available and distributed knife.

This is outrageous. Gun control has become knife control.

But there's good news! A.5567-A will reform this insane law and it has passed both Houses of the Legislature and is on the Governor's desk.
