Upended by surprise at the thought that people might actually exercise their rights in response to world events, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors is unsettled by the danger of "panicked" resistance to their tyranny. So they've responded with a resolution to study (read: generate propaganda) to warn us peasants of the dangers of not strictly bending to the whims of the ruling class.

They've written a resolution urging county health officials from the six Bay Area counties, Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara to evaluate the public health threat of panic buying weapons and to warn Americans of the danger of panic buying weapons.

Their rhetoric is the same as usual, cue Chicken Little or Don Qixote to convey their message.  COVID-19 has created a rush on gun stores for firearms and ammunition.  And yet, the gun lobby is to blame for inciting panic and driving people to go buy guns, because corporate greed.  Wouldn't you know it, "multiple studies" have concluded that where there are more guns, there are more gun deaths.  I bet they're going to tell us next that where there are bodies of water, there are more drownings!  They'd also like you to know about the ENORMOUS negative economic impact that has been taking place by people depleting the on-shelf supply of firearms and ammunition, running so many background checks that the CA DOJ and NICS systems were nearly incapacitated. 

Let the County Supervisors know where their Panic Buying Resolution belongs!
