This afternoon, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem signed Senate Bill 47.

SB 47, proposed by Senator Greenfield (R-2), did away with South Dakota's requirement for a concealed carry permit, instituting "Constitutional Carry" in the state.

According to the Argus Leader, "Gov. Kristi Noem fulfilled one of her campaign promises on Thursday by signing the bill repealing the requirement into law. She said she was "proud" that it was the first bill she signed as governor."

The bill was supported by Firearms Policy Coalition, which urged supporters to write Governor Noem using FPC's take action tools and ask for her signature on the legislation.
