Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance on Sunday slammed Republican legislation in Congress that would allow licensed gun owners in other states to carry weapons in New York City as a “dangerous ” bill supported “I am sure by ISIS.”

“This bill is supported I am sure by ISIS,” Vance told John Catsimatidis on his 970 AM radio show , referring to the Islamic State...

...“So a guy from Idaho, where there is no permitting requirements whatsoever, could carry his gun into New York City loaded into Time Square,” Vance said on “The Cats Roundtable.” “If the law passes, there could be as many as 2 million more loaded guns coming into the city every year … and would increase the danger to our communities and to our cops .”

He called for law enforcement officers across the nation to oppose the “dangerous and ill-considered bill.”

” I think Congress members have to think long and hard about whether they want to play into the hands of these terrorists . … You could get up in the morning in Manhattan, drive to Vermont, buy loaded weapons, and bring them back to New York by dinner [under the bill],” Vance said.
