Earlier today, Ohio Governor John Kasich signed SB 199, a bill that allows concealed carry of a firearm on college campuses and daycares, amongst other things.

According to Cleveland.com, SB 199 lifts the blanket prohibition on firearms at those locations and also at the public areas of airport terminals, before TSA checkpoints. College boards of trustees would have to vote to allow concealed firearms while daycare centers would have to post a gun-free zone sign if firearms aren’t allowed.

FPC thanks Gov. Kasich for signing SB 199 and believes that this is a move in the right direction.
