President Obama’s controversial attorney general is reportedly inching closer to a bid for the White House.

Former Attorney General Eric Holder told MSNBC host Chris Hayes on Tuesday he’s considering a presidential bid, a prospect he expanded upon Wednesday in an interview with the New York Times.

“If I were gonna do it, I would do it because I think — I would have concluded — that I could maybe unify the country,” Holder said.
