Former California Assemblywoman Mary Hayashi (D) would have been best known around the state for being one the most notorious anti-gun politicians in the state.

She’s instead best known for #WearOrange.

That’s right. “Mug Shot Mary” was charged in 2011 for felony grade theft for shoplifting almost $2,500 worth of merchandise from a Neiman Marcus store.

“Mug Shot Mary” voted anti-gun all sorts of different ways and was given flunking grades by the Gun Owners of California and the NRA.

Hayashi attempted to make a political comeback in 2014 with her lengthy rap sheet in tow, however voters wisely kept her from returning to Sacramento.
