Carry and need a date?

Singles who are passionate about Second Amendment rights can now look for love on a new online dating site.
Members of Concealed Carry Match all either claim to own guns or support the right to own guns.
The site, which launched last month, has about 230 member profiles available in public view. The majority of users are white men, ages 20 to 60. Chief Operating Officer Molly Lund told USA TODAY that Concealed Carry, based in Michigan, is dedicated to attracting more female clients and is open to gun lovers of every ethnicity and sexual preference. Jim Minthorn, the site’s owner who “loves guns, loves family … writing long, opinionated op-eds and helping his neighbor with his cattle,” created the site to be a safe place for gun enthusiasts to connect, according to his bio.
“We are not here to discriminate,” Lund said. “Our biggest discrimination is whether or not you are interested in guns.”
The growing number of women who hold concealed-carry permits drove the decision to start the website.
Since the site launched, Lund said she’s received some criticism of the site’s pro-gun message and has deleted a number of fake profiles. The site’s operators are considering implementing stricter vetting procedures for prospective members.
