#WEARORANGE: Anti-Gun Politician Charged With Fraud

Florida Congresswoman Corrine Brown (D) will be a bit preoccupied in coming days from trying to take away your guns.

She’ll be busy trying to stay out of jail.

Brown was charged with multiple fraud and additional federal offenses in a grand jury indictment following a federal investigation in a fraudulent charity for which she was the public face of.

“Congresswoman Brown and her chief of staff are alleged to have used the congresswoman’s official position to solicit over $800,000 in donations to a supposed charitable organization, only to use that organization as a personal slush fund,” Assistant U.S. Attorney General Leslie Caldwell, chief of the Justice Department’s criminal division, said in a statement.

According to the indictment, Brown used $200,000 in charity money meant for scholarships to rent out luxury suites at a Beyonce concert and a Washington Redskins game.

Brown is sure to be wearing University of Florida orange in prison in coming days, but there is sure to be more corrupt politicians where she comes from.
