Are you a 95%-er or a 5%-er?

Here’s something to consider: about 19 out of every 20 gun owners don’t really care about gun rights.
Think about that for a second.
You know who they are. You see them all over Internet forums and on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
They might occasionally “Like” a gun-related picture, or post a little rant about some unconstitutional law, or debate 1911s vs. Glocks, AKs vs. ARs, or .45acp vs. 9mm. But that’s about it.
Only about 5% of gun owners actually care enough to donate or join a Second Amendment gun rights organization that fights hard, everyday, for their rights.
Only about 5 out of every 100 of us volunteer a little time to the cause, or teach someone new to the sport to how to shoot.
But just ask the other 95% — they’ll be the first to tell you what you (and we) should be doing. (If you’re part of the 95% of non-fighters, you can fix that problem in about 20 seconds, right here and now.)
We receive stacks of emails and comments every day. Many go something along the lines of this: “I demand that you do < x > about < y >.” And about 99.9% of the time, they aren’t a FPC supporter or FPC Official Member.
FPC is a non-profit, grassroots organization. That means we aren’t getting big checks from the gun industry to help us cover our legal and advocacy expenses. We don’t have big PR firms with multi-million dollar marketing contracts to generate income. And we don’t plaster our website with Google ads.
No, we rely on you to empower us to fight on your behalf. If you want to see more gun rights deliverables, we can [and would love to] do that — with your support.
If everyone reading this were to donate just $10 today, we could stop fundraising for a year.
But the sad reality is that a only very small fraction of us (the 5%-ers) will shoulder the load for most of the others (the 95%-ers). Because if you’re a 5%-er, you refuse to stand by and watch gun prohibitionists destroy our rights due to others’ complacency and inaction.
We at FPC consider it a great honor to serve you and fight for your Second Amendment Right to Keep and Bear Arms. If you’re not already among the 5% of gun owners who actually care enough to take a stand and invest in freedom, we hope that you’ll change that today.
