ALERT: They’re prioritizing gun control over our students’ education
Senator Lois Wolk (D-Davis) has just introduced Senate Bill 1006, which seeks to establish the California Firearm Violence Research Center within the University of California (UC) system.
Within this new taxpayer-funded center, the UCs will be offering grants to the enemies of the Second Amendment, like the Brady Campaign, in order to study ways to take away YOUR guns.
Yes, the same UC system that hired anti-gun, Obama Administration crony Janet Napolitano to lead it.
Yes, the same UC system that sought to block in-state students from attending school because out-of-state students spent more in tuition.
Yes, the same UC system that has constantly raised tuition on its students while paying its executives exorbitant salaries, including handing out vehicles and homes to individual University Presidents.
Now, instead of using their budget to lower tuition for your children and make college more affordable, Senator Wolk believes the University of California should spend their money on devising ways to steal your guns.
This is not just an attack on gun owners; it is a slap in the face to every UC student that pays their way through college. Elitist Democrats believe that taking away a Constitutional Right is more important than the education of our children.
